5 star review for Barrett in Goldmine magazine
The latest edition of Goldmine magazine gives the Barrett book a full 5 stars, praising its previously unseen content and high production values.
Reviewer Gillian G. Gaar says the “beautifully put-together volume” is a must-have item for fans of Barrett’s art – “it is worth the price as the most comprehensive look at Barrett’s visual work to date”.
Gaar notes the rare photographs, showing Barrett “before, during and after Pink Floyd, from his days as a fresh-faced schoolboy to the rarified dandy of the Summer of Love to the bedraggled look of the solo years”, as well as Syd’s letters to girlfriends Libby Gausden-Chisman and Jenny Spires, and the exhaustive reproductions of his artworks.
